JIB TURNER

PARTNER

Jib Turner is a seasoned business development professional. He has been a hands-on manager of family and independently owned businesses for over 38 years, namely in the retail, construction and hospitality operations.

Jib has spent decades in marine tourism operations; and been involved with firms in manufacturing, health care and community development.

Currently, Jib serves as President of Turners of Little Current Limited, a 140-year old retailer in Little Current, Ontario on Manitoulin Island. As a Partner at Limestone, Jib’s practice focusses on business and government relations, business and economic development and strategic consulting.

From 2007 to 2011, Jib was a Director on the Northeast Local Health Integration Network (budget: $1.4 billion). Beyond this, he has served on numerous municipal and business development committees, including having served as President to the Little Current Business Improvement Area (BIA) for 10 years. 

As a strong advocate for the tourism sector, Jib has managed a large marine services business for 20 years operating tug and bardge, rental and delivery fleet of 35 boats on the North Channel in Lake Huron. He was Director of several Great Lakes Cruising Club Rendevouz, Director for the North Channel Marine Tourism Association and has facilitated several projects in the cruise ship industry.

Passionate about serving his community, Jib also has extensive experience in municipal governance, and on projects of community and economic development. Jib has served as a Councillor for the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands from 2003 to 2007. He has partnered with many Indigenous and northern communities in tourism promotion and community and economic development, collaboratively with industry and other levels of government.

Jib studied business at Lake Superior State University, and studied at the renowned Gow School and Trinity College School.

ANDREW AULT

PARTNER

Andrew Ault is a quantitative economist engaged intensively within research. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, as well as a Master of Business Administration and Master of Economics, from Lakehead University; and is currently working towards his PhD in Finance from Carleton University. His areas of research include pharmacoeconomics, health economics, and biotechnology assessment and commercialization. His PhD work is focused on econometric theory and market microstructure theory - advancing new statistical tools to strengthen asset allocation in volatile sectors such as mining and high-technology. At Limestone he leads research methodologies for various clients, in private, Indigenous and public sectors. He served as Controller for the first Ontario Health Team, and prior to that, worked various roles for OntarioHealth (formerly LHIN), Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and Ministry of Energy. Andrew actively serves as Chair, Finance & Audit, St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake; and on the board for BAY Credit Union. He currently teaches part-time in the Faculty of Science and Technology, Algoma University, Sault Ste. Marie.
